Met awards
The “Met Gala” is an annual event that collects funds on the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City.
This event is celebrated since 1946, and its director, since 1995, is the magazine editor of Vogue from USA. Every year the event has different themes, this year, the theme was “China: through the looking glass”
Most people that attend “the Met Gala” are celebrities, like musicians, artists, actors, etc.
This year, the celebrities that attended the event, were: Rihanna, Jessica Parker, Jennifer Lawrence, Katy Perry, Miley Cirus, Kim Kardashian and her daughter Kendall Jenner, Selena Gomez, Rita Ora, Cara Delevingne, Jennifer Lopez, Amanda Seyfried, Madonna, Beyonce, Justin Bieber, Jason Derulo, Kanye West, Robert Pattinson and Jay Z among others.
This year, all the celebrities showed amazing and beautiful “costumes” in the red carpet, obviously some of them highlighted from others.
Most of the costumes were made by famous designers like: Giorgio Armani, Dior, Prada, Calvin Klein, Versace, McQueen and Channel among others.
Each year people choose “the best dressed” and “the worst dressed”. This year the best dressed celebrities were Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian, Madonna and Kendall Jenner.
Justin Bieber highlighted from others men because he wore a black suit with small golden parts.
“The worst dressed” were Zendaya, Jennifer Lawrence, Cara Delevigne and Vanessa Hudgens.
So we hope that the next “Met Gala” will be better than this.
