Atheris hispida, the leaves snake
The Atheris hispida (the Bush snake) is a kind of snake that is incredible, this snake has a protected body with hard scales that are like leaves, it’s head is big and wide. In it’s throat exists special salivary glands that conserve a too strong poison, it’s tongue is a heat receptor and the snake identifies it’s preys. It’s principal hábitats is the Africa coast (where the snake camouflages with it’s scales). This snake feeds with anfibious, lizards, mouses, snails and another types of snakes. There are differents types of Atheris Hispida with differents colors like brown, green, black, yellow, etc. This snake is about 75 centimeters, the female ones are a bit bigger than the male ones and it’s fangs are mainly longer than the other types of snakes.
