ALTERNATIVE BAND OF THE MONTH: HALESTORM
Halestrom is a hard rock band formed in 1998 but inactive until 2009 when they released its first album. Lzzy Hale is the main singer and guitarist, her brother Arejay is the guy on the drums. Joe Hottinger in the other guitar and Josh Smith in the bass. Sometimes Lzzy Hale plays the piano.
In 2009 they released they self-titled album Halestrom with good songs like ‘’It’s not you’’ and ‘’I get off’. “The Strange case of…” came in 2012.In this album songs like ‘’I miss the misery’’ and ‘’Freak like Me’’, in this album the song ‘’Love Bites (So do I)´´ won a Grammy prize. In 2015 the album Into the Wild Life came out, I’ve got to say in this album the best song was ‘’Amen’’ no other song can be compared to that one, ‘’I Am the Fire’’ and ‘’Mayhem’’ were good too, and the song ‘’Dear Daughter’’ was very sensitive.
The style has suffered changes since 2009, strong choruses, and long verses, and a very remarked guitar and bass.
Live concerts are great. Lzzy screams a lot and the drums sound strong.
