Chilean national holidays

The Chilean national holidays The Chilean national holidays is a chilean celebration that represents the independence of Chile and is held on september 18th (colloquially known as the 18). This celebration consists in play typical chilean games like the trompo and the emboque, dance the chilean typical dance known as the cueca and chilean typical food like the choripán and the chilenitos (typical chilean candies).

Although the celebration is celebrated on september 18th, the real independence of Chile doesn´t happen in that time, but it is on february 12th. That happens because on september 18th is celebrated the first national governing body and from that day it keeps on celebrating and Although the february 12th happens the real independence of Chile, the celebration remains on september 18th and remained unchanged by time. In my opinion I think that the independence of Chile on september 18th means an error because the independence of Chile wasn´t on september 18th, it was on february 12th and all the people that participated, won and died, in the war for the independence aren´t remembered like they must be remembered. To end, although the chilean national holidays, aren´t represented exactly, the celebration is so good and exciting, it makes people be together and live in society and always enjoy, no matter what year it is held.
